This is our actor for the narrative David Jackson. David is 17 and studying A Levels at Whitley Bay High School. We chose David due to his passion for performing. Last year, David starred as the lead in Back to the 80's the school performance. He has also recently been cast as Fagin, for the school production of 2015, Oliver. A keen dancer was what we we're searching for as a group. After watching endless productions that David starred in at school whether it was singing, dancing or acting he had such enthusiasm, we decided he was perfect for the part.
We contacted David, via text, to see whether he would help us in our music video. It did not take much persuasion as he is currently building a portfolio for his application to London Drama School and any experience offered to him was welcomed with open arms.
David will be playing the part of a lonely teen age boy with a passion for dance. After overcoming a range of battles throughout his life, for example, being kicked out and unsupported by his family and consistent bullying by peers, he finds his happy place... Heaven.
The role suited David perfectly, as he has the timid teenage look. After dealing with bullying himself, he knew how to play the part well especially dealing with the emotions himself for a short time in middle school. We arranged the first shoot at the dance studio in north shields and filming of the EXODUS music video commenced.
